YOGA CUCINA SPRING ADVENTURE ITINERARY

Dust off the winter and join us on the sunny verandahs of our rambling Southern Highlands country house for a long weekend of yoga – with special guest teacher Noelle Connolly –  and delicious Italian food & wine, September 6-9, 2018.

Thursday, September 6, 2017

6pm The Arrival: Find your room, stash your bags and freshen up for aperitivo by the fire.

7pm A Tavola: Join us in the lounge for a pre-dinner spritz followed by an Italian feast, carved, charred, and paired with matching wines.

8am Body Movin': “Now let me get some action from the back section – we need body rocking not perfection”  – Beastie Boys. Turn it up in a long morning yoga practice with Rebecca.

10.30am The Morning After: Rinse off the sweat and muscle up to the table to refuel your mind and body with an abundant brunch.

1pm Wine Times: Drive through the bush and into the vines for a boutique tasting at Artemis Wines.

5pm Anima/Mahima: "Your deepest presence is in every small contracting and expanding, the two as beautifully balanced and coordinated as bird wings.” – Rumi. Wrap up warm for a chill flow with yin and yoga nidra with Aly.

I Cook with Wine: In the words of American comedian, juggler and writer WC Fields, “I cook with wine, sometimes I even add it to the food.” Turn on your taste buds for dinner, familia-style.

8am Smooth and Sticky: Slide into your sweats for a deep, rinsing yoga flow with Aly.

10.30am Over Easy: “Male, female, gay, straight, legal, illegal, country of origin—who cares? You can either cook an omelet or you can’t. ― Anthony Bourdain. Brunch time.

1pm Sticky Fingers: Like any Italian chef worth his Salina di Cervia (translation: noun – fancy sea salt), Marco and Luca grew up rolling gnocchi and ravioli with la famiglia. Push up your sleeves and learn to make your very own authentic pasta. You’ll do your Nonna proud.

4pm Stems Up: As the tastiest stock is built from the bones up, the lightest yoga inversions come from solid roots. So it’s hands down, feet in the air for an upside-down workshop with special guest teacher Noelle Connolly.

8pm Pagliacciiiii, la cena è pronta! Clownsssss, dinner is ready! Turn on your taste buds for our final repast.

Sunday, September 9, 2017

8am Cereal Killers: “But if you’re gonna dine with them cannibals. Sooner or later, darling, you’re gonna get eaten.” – Nick Cave, Cannibal’s Hymn. But not today. Shake yourself loose in a final yoga practice with Rebecca before you hit the road.

Grazie mille!
