Join us in the wild seclusion of Steele’s Island, Tasmania for Yoga Cucina Carlton River, a weekend of intelligent yoga, local produce and exquisite wine – January 28-30, 2022.
Our own private island is home for the weekend, just off the South East Coast of Tasmania. A tranquil 45 minute trip from Hobart, Steele's is sheltered by the bay on one side, and the estuary, bluff and beach on the other – promising uninterrupted sun rises and sunsets all year round.
With well protected evidence of past Indigenous inhabitants dating back forty thousand years, majestic Mount Wellington in the distance, and the call of sea birds over the water, this is the perfect place for a winter adventure.
Each day will be punctuated by two intelligent, playful and thoughtful yoga classes with Claire Blackwood followed by guided meditation. The best seasonal produce will adorn the table, and each evening will be doused in a generous splash of our favourite local and in international wines.
Who is it for? Guys, girls, gurus and gourmands. If you love yoga with a side of local produce and a glass of full bodied Barolo we want you there.

The Food: We love a table that's loud, messy and liberally scattered with crusty bread and incredible wine. Far from the brown rice and undressed greens of a traditional yoga retreat, our food is made with hands and heart, a celebration of the best seasonal produce and Italian flavours.
The Yoga: Playful and energetic, Claire encourages her guests to practice with an open mind and a sense of curiosity.
