Rewild with Yoga Cucina Bruny Island, Tasmania – Friday 6 October - Sunday 8 October 2023
Bruny is an island off an island in south east Tasmania, a pristine wilderness defined by windswept coastline and the cries of wild birds. A foodies paradise, it is known for fresh oysters and honey, complex cheeses and hand picked wine, redolent of the ancient terroir from which it comes.
Claire Blackwood and Sarah Stacey will be your hosts for the weekend, guiding you at the table and on the yoga mat. Chefs Marco Gobbo and Cameron Perry will draw from the rich heritage of Italian cuisine and bounty of local ingredients to imbue the menu with a true sense of place.
Each day will be punctuated with two playful and intelligent yoga classes, followed by guided meditation. Seasonal produce will be paired with the best cool climate wines. Time and space will be available for rest and exploration.
Who is it for? Guys, girls, gurus and gourmands. All are welcome. Some prior yoga experience will add to your enjoyment.

The Location: Bruny Island Lodge sits on 860 acres of pristine bushland overlooking the calm waters of Mickey’s Bay on South Bruny Island. It’s a 2 hour drive from Hobart plus a car ferry to the island. Tickets for the ferry are available in advance or at the terminal.
The Food: We love a table that's loud, messy and liberally scattered with crusty bread and incredible wine. Far from the brown rice and undressed greens of a traditional yoga retreat, our food is made with hands and heart, a celebration of the best seasonal produce and Italian flavours.
The Yoga: Thoughtful and energetic, Claire encourages her guests to practice with an open mind and a sense of curiosity.
